Purpose : Create a eco-designed modular and versatile backpack
The Chameleon backpack was born from the idea of being able to use the same bag throughout the day, on weekends, and while traveling, with a modular design suited for work, sports, and travel.
With eco-design at the heart of their project, supported by Bpi France, I proposed a sturdy, easily repairable design with an iconic, retro aesthetic. After I conducted a materials analysis based on their environmental impact and durability, the team opted for recycled, durable materials such as recycled nylon and aluminum for the hardware.
I supported the two founders throughout the entire process, from conceptual design to prototype development and final production with a long-lasting collaborative factory.
During the project, we added a small, modular crossbody bag that can be attached to the main bag or worn on its own, as well as a rain cover.
The bag was the result of extensive user feedback from their network, and following a crowdfunding campaign, it is now available for purchase online on their website.
